It is 1:00am, I am typing away at Murio’s while frat-boys bully the Jukebox. I sat down to a Pixies song, then wanted to leave when Sublime came on, but Lucero was playing when my beer ran out, so I stupidly ordered another. Here’s to wishful thinking!

Whats been going on?

Eoin just got back from being a vagrant nomad all over Europe.

Being a fucking coward, he made this ridiculous patch (shown here to the left) to cover up the “SS” Silver Sprocket logo on the back of his jacket.

I had the brilliant plan of posting a contest on this here website listing his itinerary and offering a free copy of everything we’ve ever released for whoever manages to find Eoin and tare this ridiculous coward patch off his jacket and mail it in, preferably roughing him up in the process. I never got around to announcing this contest while Eoin was away, so he did NOT get beaten up for being a Nazi… Next time!

We just got the rough mixes for the Andrew Jackson Jihad / The Gunshy collaborative EP and HOLY FUCK I can’t think of a time I’ve been this motivated to run a label. These songs are going to change the world, just you wait!
Until then, be sure to check out AJJ’s epic new album, Can’t Maintain, recently released by our love-slaves Mike and Skylar at Asian Man Records! You can still get an Andrew Jackson Jihad pillowcase too if you want to be a creep and never get laid, but act quick, they are almost gone (which makes no sense because they are seriously fucking gross and I don’t understand why anyone would buy one).

On the new release front, we are also putting together a singles collection from Shang-A-Lang. This is my favorite newish band right now, I may be fucking old turning 27 this week, but they make me feel 14 like I’m just getting into punk rock that actually matters for the first time. I can’t stop listening to the 7″ EPs and demo tracks that will make up this album, and can’t wait to share it all with you!

Our very own Hard Girls just came out with a brand new EP on Quote/Unqote Records, a free download! And don’t forget the EP we put out that started it all.
The Hard Girls are leaving for tour this weekend, heading over to Florida and back! Tour dates can be found on their myspace page.

Danny from The Pillowfights is coming with me to Fest 8 in Gainesville, Florida, this Halloween weekend by the way, where we will be seeing Andrew Jackson jihad, Hard Girls and Shang-A-Lang, along with some 300 other fucking amazing bands and friends. Find any of us for a free copy of our brand new sampler CD that includes my favorite songs from our entire roster and fucking amazing unreleased songs from bands that we love but broke up that we didn’t get permission to include so we won’t be saying who they are right here.

Big D And The Kids Table’s latest, Rude Remix Revolution, just came out too! Fucking amazing remixes and mash-ups of Big D classics by some of our favorite DJs and re-mix artists! More info right here. We have a top secret Christmas project in the works too but I’ll tell you more about that later.

Our first designer plush, Attaboy’s talking Gooberry, is now available by mail-order right here and to retailers via DKE Toys. We only made 600, and these are kind of awesome, so hurry up if you want one! I just found out Kid Robot is ordering some, fucking stoked!!

Roxy Epoxy’s new band, Roxy Epoxy And The Rebound, were just here and made this really fucked up video with one poor Gooberry…

The Phenomenauts just wrapped up some epic USA and Canadian touring with The Re-Volts, then some more with Go Jimmy Go! Thanks to everyone that came out!

Mitch Clem is working on a new book too! This time around the subject is his “My Stupid Life” web-comic. More news on that in a bit, but until then, make sure you have the Nothing Nice to Say book and all the fun silly NN2S merch we made.

OH FUCK I ALMOST FORGOT, new Silver Sprocket shirts!!! Lauren from The Measure (SA) designed this one!

A limited batch of just 50 to start out which we will have at our table at Fest 8 durring registration, then whatever is left by mail-order after that. Some patches too I think. I really like this design a lot, Lauren did an amazing job!
Heather Gable promised to design a shirt for us too but hasn’t yet.

A few comic book and bike clothing projects are in the works too, I’ll tell you later when they actually exist.

We won’t have a booth at the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco this weekend, but Eoin, Adam and I will all be in attendance. Find us for free acoustic songs, sandwiches, sampler CDs and whatever else, just like previous years but walking around instead of behind a table! There is also some sort of vegan cupcake selling and then cupcake eating contest in The Mission that we will be winning.

That is all I can remember wanting to say for now. This website being set up like a blog doesn’t make much sense. If you’re good at HTML and CSS and programing WordPress, please get in touch, I drew a sketch for how this website should look but don’t really have time to figure out how to build it. I might anyway if I can’t sleep. But probably not.

Mail-Order is going awesome, Kim is on that, so order without fear! Some of the international mail-orders from August got all fucked up, I am super sorry about that and am fixing it right now. Everything moving forward is all good though so buy stuff, and the rest of the Springman Records / Silver Sprocket catalog will be available right here direct as soon as we can get the catalog website updated.
