“Transfix Transform” is a collection of abstract comics created by the artist Seth Katz. These comics transcend the traditional confines of panels, delving into the profound interplay between what’s inside and what exists in the spaces between. In a world where dualities often define our understanding, Katz’s work invites you to explore the non-linear gray areas that connect everything. The real magic happens in the uncharted spaces, where we embrace the beauty of the in-between.

Our art opening is not just about visual art. We are delighted to feature a stellar lineup of local writers who will guide you through the in-between concepts. They are dedicated to harm reduction and advocate for drug user rights. The stories they share encapsulate the complexity of living in the spaces between harm reduction work, personal narratives, and their own unique pasts. In these powerful narratives, we explore the multifaceted aspects of our lives, where we work in needle exchanges, safe consumption sites, drug checking, sex worker advocacy, anti-prohibition policy, and more.  Where they embody the ethics they believe in while navigating their own narratives, pasts, and lives. Profound stories happen between the panels, the stories that are often hidden from view.

“Transfix Transform” is a celebration of the complex beauty that exists in the gray areas of life.
