Since it’s homo-palooza weekend, I wanted to post this comic I made last year in honor of the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. I did a ton of research and found lots of conflicting information about the riots and very few photos, so this visual narrative is a product of and very much so about the obscured history of that night and what followed. I used a variety of sources but relied on Sylvia Rivera’s 2001 speech for the LGMNY (here) as a primary text.
