Award winning cartoonists Ben Passmore (Your Black Friend and Other Strangers) and Ezra Claytan Daniels (Upgrade Soul) have teamed up with Fantagraphics Books for their new Afropunk graphic novel BTTM FDRS.
The hard hitting satire takes on gentrification, body horror, and socio-political representation through the lense of an aspiring fashion designer as she settles into an underdeveloped neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. Her new apartment is, inevitably, a darker place than it initially seems.
Brimming with Passmore’s trademark brilliant colors and Claytan Daniel’s sardonic wit, BTTM FDRS is a timely addition in a growing cannon of Black Horror.
