Nick Winn is a comic artist/animator from Phoenix, Arizona living in Los Angeles, California. His inspiration stems from his family’s influences and restrictions growing up. Being the son of a Catholic church director, Nick spent a lot of his younger years staring at religious iconography while playing Super Mario with his mom at the office. His late father, who worked in entertainment, bonded with his two sons Nick and Marcus over radio jazz and fighting games. Those, coupled with Disney Comic Zone magazines, Dragon Ball Z, and Schoolhouse Rock episodes influenced the way Nick tells stories through his drawings. He’s big into worldbuilding that allows goofiness and high stakes to be married with distinct artistic vision. Although he has a bunch of stories in mind for the future, Nick just really enjoys drawing, no matter if it’s for a comic or a sketchbook.
